1. General Info
The Network Operations Center (NOC) is responsible for managing the data network of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Among many services, NOC provides:- network between computers of AUTH members and Internet connectivity
- basic network services, e.g. e-mail and web-page hosting
- advanced network services, e.g. voice-over-IP telephony and video-conferencing
- technical assistance to all university network users
Specifically, each member of the AUTH community (faculty, staff and students) has the right to acquire a user account, which will provide access to the following personal network services:
- e-mail (with antivirus and anti-SPAM protection)
- dialup access to the Internet
- personal web-pages
- personal home directory in a central server
- listing in the university directory
- personal digital certificate (PKI)
At the same time, acquiring a user account from NOC, allows users to activate other university services, such as access to the central computer labs.
You can find out more about the services offered and detailed manuals of use here (unfortunately available in greek only). These services are provided and maintained by full-time staff, part-time working students and trainee students.

3. Wireless Networks at Campus
If you have a wireless device, you can have access to the internet at the wireless hotspots listed here (available in greek only). In order to connect succesfully, you must follow these steps.4. Computer lab at the Central Library building
Exchange students are welcome to use this computer lab!
To have access to this computer lab you must obtain an email account from the Network Operations Center (Ground Floor of the Central Library Building, Monday to Friday, hrs: 08:30-14:30, Phone Number 2310 999400).
You will need a certificate from the administration office (gramatia) of your department and some form of identification (passport, id card etc).
When getting your account make sure to mention that you want to use the computer lab in the central library.
